COC (CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY)
In March 2020, The Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) has appointed Geo-Chem Middle East as a notified body to issue Certificates of Conformity for Food, Non Food & Cosmetic Products Consignments exported to the Republic of Iraq market.
In order for the Food, Non Food & Cosmetic products of Traders, Importer’s and Manufacturer to enter the Republic of Iraq they should comply with the requirements of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC). Once the goods successfully go through the Iraq Customs clearance process, they are permitted to pass.
The CoC is mandatory for goods clearance; consignments without CoC or failing to meet the requirements of the new Recognition Program on Certificates of Conformity will be rejected at destination.
The scheme aims to safeguard the health and safety of consumers by governing the quality standards of goods entering the country. It also supports a faster, more reliable customs clearance process for food & cosmetic companies, domestic agents, food & cosmetic manufacturers, and wholesale distributors
Geo-Chem Middle East is assigned and authorized by COSQC to issue Certificates of Conformity ( CoC ) for regulated goods subject to the this program. Geo-Chem Middle East fulfils all qualification criteria set by the COSQC, Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control and is fully authorized to issue the required CoC’s.

Documents Required
1. Request for Certification (RFC)
2. Final invoice / Packing List
3. Copy of Transport document (BL, AWB, Road certificate...)
4. Declared Border Point of Entry in Iraq (can be completed on the RFC or in any other communication from exporter)
5. Declaration of Conformity (only for Route B – Registration-)
6. Laboratory test report of the product issued by ISO 17025 Approved Laboratories”
7. Physical inspection with product photographs
8. Information and pictures about product marking and labeling (copies of labels / prints or pictures of those)
